The BDX is big-style wine, rich with black fruit flavors and a touch of earthiness. More and more wineries are offering red blends these days, and this is a good one. I am impressed with the wine, well made with generous Bordeaux-style flavors. The BDX is a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec, and 2% Cabernet Franc. This Bordeaux blend appears to be an exclusive for Costco. Nottingham Cellars is a Livermore winery, but these grapes are from the Central Valley. The winery recently remodeled their tasting room and opened their barrel room to visitors.
